This traditional glass bauble is covered in little gingerbread men, decorated with white polka dots and a pretty scalloped motif around it.
The matt red finish is what makes it feel properly old-fashioned. Gloss red can look rather hard and modern, whereas matt holds the light softly and gives it the look of a decoration that has been in the family a while. At 8cm it is a full-sized bauble, and the red and white is exactly the Nordic Jul palette, so it sits perfectly with woven hearts, straw stars and anything in gingham.
