Description
This lovely little Nordic pixie boy is made with a real pine cone for his body, which gives him a properly rustic, gathered-from-the-woods look. He wears a white knitted jumper and a red felt hat, and he stands 7cm tall.
Using a real pine cone means no two are quite the same, which is rather the charm of him. He is the Danish nisse, or Swedish tomte, the small bearded fellow who traditionally looks after the farmstead and expects a bowl of rice pudding on Christmas Eve for his trouble. At under three pounds he is one of the easiest things in the shop to add to an order, and he is lovely tied onto a parcel or tucked into a stocking as well as hung on the tree. By Gisela Graham.
