The Danish Fair at St Katharine’s is returning to London on Saturday, 16 May 2026 (11:00 am – 5:00 pm), and it’s set to be a wonderful day out for the whole community!
We are thrilled to announce that this year’s festivities will be officially opened at 11:00 am by the wonderful Sandi Toksvig. Be sure to arrive early to catch her opening remarks and join in the communal singing!

Every year, the church and its beautiful gardens transform into a bustling Scandi marketplace. Whether you’re a regular or visiting for the first time, it’s a brilliant way to soak up some hygge right in the heart of London.

What’s in Store?
- Literary Corner: A highlight this year is the chance to meet Danish authors! Come and chat with Heidi Amsinck (from 11:30 am) or Uffe Elbæk (from 2:00 pm) about their latest work and pick up a signed copy for your bookshelf.
- Shopping & Design: Browse stalls inside the church for classic Danish design, antiques, and even vintage Georg Jensen jewellery.

- Foodie Delights: Tuck into traditional smørrebrød (open sandwiches) and legendary Danish hotdogs in the garden. Plus, Sarah from the Danish Church has shared a fabulous recipe for Kringle, which you can find here.

- A Proper Toast: Our friends at Vintersol Distillery in Putney are providing the aquavit! Stop by the bar for a chilled snaps or a Danish beer to enjoy in the sun.

- The Fabulous Raffle: We are once again donating a special gift hamper to the raffle! It’s a highlight of the afternoon, with the grand draw taking place at 4:30 pm.

From the famous flødebolle (marshmallow puff) catapult for the kids to the live music and festive atmosphere, there is something for everyone.
