Apparently candy canes were invented in 1670 by the choirmaster of Cologne cathedral when he wanted a little treat that would keep the kids quiet during his Christmas Eve concert; we can’t promise you rapt silence sadly but they will certainly add a sweet touch to your Scandi tree!
